Shri Piyush Goyal,
Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal, and New & Renewable Energy (Government of India)
Shri Piyush Goyal is the Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal, and New & Renewable Energy in the Government of India. He is a current member of the Rajya Sabha and over his 28 year political career, has held various executive positions in the Bharatiya Janata Party. He has also held the privilege of being mentored by stalwarts such as Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Prime Minister of India. Mr Goyal holds a brilliant academic record as an all-India second-rank holding Chartered Accountant and Law professional. Prior to politics, Mr Goyal worked in investment banking, advising top corporates on management strategy and growth and has served on the Boards of the State Bank of India and the Bank of Baroda. Mr Goyal is currently pursuing the Owner/President Management (OPM) Program at Harvard Business School.
MD & CEO, Bombay Stock Exchange
Ashish Chauhan currently serves as the Managing Director and CEO of the Bombay Stock Exchange, Asia’s very first stock exchange. He was also one of the founders of India’s National Stock Exchange (NSE) and was instrumental in setting up the country’s first ‘scree-based’ trading and it’s first equities market, due to which he is known as the father of modern financial derivatives in India. Just prior to leading BSE, Mr Chauhan worked as President and Chief Information Officer at the Reliance Group and also acted as CEO for the Mumbai Indians cricket team in its formative years. He has been the recipient of several national and international awards and is a board member on national committees such as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Mr Chauhan holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay and is a Distinguished visiting professor at Ryerson University, Toronto.
Chairman, Mahindra Holidays & Resorts
Arun Nanda is the current Chairman of Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd. and Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd. Mr Nanda joined the Mahindra Group in 1973, holding several important positions over a 40 year tenure, including those of Executive and Non-Executive Director on the Board of Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M). Furthermore, as a standing member of the Anti-Corruption Task Force set up by the “Business-20” or B20, he has presented policy papers to both President Nicolas Sarkozy of France and President Vladimir Putin of Russia as part of the G20 summits in 2011 and 2013 respectively. In addition to many other awards, Mr Nanda also holds the honor of being a recipient of the Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honour as presented by President Sarkozy in 2008. He holds a Degree in Law from the University of Calcutta and is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Mr Nanda has also participated in the Senior Executive Program at London Business School.

Ph.D., Will Clayton Fellow in International Economics, Baker Institute (Rice University)
Russell A. Green, Ph.D., is an International Economics Scholar at the Baker Institute, Rice University, and a current adjunct professor in the Economics Department. Mr Green’s current research focuses on monetary and exchange rate policy and financial market development in emerging market economies, including Indian developmental challenges. His book, International Monetary Cooperation: Lessons from the Plaza Accord after Thirty Years, co-edited with Fred Bergsten, will be published by the Peterson Institute for International Economics this spring. Prior to joining the Baker Institute, Mr Green spent four years in India as the U.S. Treasury Department’s first financial attaché to that country. He was previously also the deputy director of the U.S. Treasury’s Office of International Monetary Policy. Mr Green holds a B.A. from Pomona College and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
