Harit Talwar,
Partner and Head of Digital Finance, Goldman Sachs
Harit Talwar is a Partner and Head of Digital Finance at Goldman Sachs with oversight for the online lending and deposit businesses. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2015 as a partner. Prior to joining the firm, Harit was president of US Cards for Discover Financial Services as well as chief marketing officer and a member of Discover’s Executive Committee, where he played a key role in driving overall strategy. Before that, he was managing director of Morgan Stanley’s Consumer Banking Group International. He also spent 15 years at Citigroup, working in India, the Middle East, the US and Europe. During this time, Harit held a number of senior roles including general management and country management positions in cards, loans and retail banking.
Harit is a board member and trustee of the American India Foundation and serves on the Marketing Advisory Board of the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. He previously held various leadership positions with the Chicago CMO Summit; the American School of Warsaw, Poland; the College of Lake County, Illinois; Children’s Memorial Hospital, Chicago; and Pratham UK.
Harit earned a BA (Hons) in Economics from Delhi University in India and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Dr. S.Y. Quraishi,
Former Chief Election Commissioner of India
Born on June 11, 1947, in Delhi, Dr. S.Y. Quraishi joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1971. After holding several key positions, he rose to become the 17th Chief Election Commissioner of India, the world’s largest democracy.
As the Election Commissioner and Chief Election Commissioner of India (2006-2012), he introduced a number of innovative electoral reforms. The most important reform he introduced was the setting up of a Voter Education Division which revolutionized voter participation in the country achieving the highest turnouts in seven decades of electoral democracy in India. For this and other electoral reforms he was adjudged as one of the 100 Most Powerful Indians of 2011and 2012 by The Indian Express. He also figured in 100 Most Powerful Indians list of India Today in 2012.
Jagdish N. Bhagwati,
University Professor of Economics and Law, Columbia University
Jagdish Bhagwati, is University Professor at Columbia University and Senior Fellow in International Economics at the Council on Foreign Relations. He has been Economic Policy Adviser to Arthur Dunkel, Director General of GATT (1991-93), Special Adviser to the UN on Globalization, and External Adviser to the WTO. He has served on the Expert Group appointed by the Director General of the WTO on the Future of the WTO and the Advisory Committee to Secretary General Kofi Annan on the NEPAD process in Africa, and was also a member of the Eminent Persons Group under the chairmanship of President Fernando Henrique Cardoso on the future of UNCTAD.

Professor Bhagwati has published more than three hundred articles and has authored or edited over fifty volumes; he also writes frequently for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Financial Times, as well as reviews for The New Republic and The Times Literary Supplement. Professor Bhagwati is described as the most creative international trade theorist of his generation and is a leader in the fight for freer trade. His most recent book, In Defense of Globalization (Oxford, 2004), has attracted worldwide acclaim. Five volumes of his scientific writings and two of his public policy essays have been published by MIT press. The recipient of six festschrifts in his honor, he has also received several prizes and honorary degrees, including awards from the governments of India (Padma Vibhushan) and Japan (Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star).

Suresh Narayanan,
Chairman & Managing Director, Nestle India
Mr. Suresh Narayanan joined the Board of Directors of Nestlé India Limited as Managing Director from 1st August, 2015. He has over 30 years of rich and exhaustive experience in the FMCG Industry and has held senior management and top leadership roles in leading global companies. Mr. Narayanan was Chairman and CEO of Nestlé Philippines prior to joining Nestlé India as Managing Director. Mr. Narayanan joined Nestlé in 1999 as Executive Vice President for Sales in India, where he spearheaded major structural and strategic changes in Sales and Customer Management and set up the chilled dairy business. He moved to Nestlé Indochina in 2003, as Executive Director for Sales, Marketing and Food-Services, covering the countries of Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam. Two years later in 2005, he returned to Nestlé India as Head of Sales. In 2008, Mr. Narayanan was appointed as Managing Director of Nestlé Singapore Pte. Ltd., and remained there until 2010. During his time the overall business in Singapore witnessed sustained growth amidst the economic downturn. He was awarded the Medal of Commendation by the Government of Singapore in 2010, for excellence in employee relations during this challenging period. He moved to Nestlé Egypt as Chairman and CEO and Head of NEAR, where his initiatives resulted in significant business growth and investments despite the turbulence and volatility faced by the region at this time.
Mr. Narayanan began his career as a management trainee with Hindustan Unilever, where he held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in Sales, Marketing and General Management. He has also worked with Colgate Palmolive in India. Mr. Suresh Narayanan holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics. He has a Diploma from the IMD Program for Executive Development and has participated in the Nestlé Leadership Program of the London Business School.

Mr. Vinay Mohan is the Director for Mohan Meakin Ltd., one of India’s largest distilleries and producer of the iconic Indian rum, Old Monk. With over $240 Million in sales, Old Monk is the third largest selling rum in the world and is the most popular rum brand in the country. Mohan Meakin Ltd. was established under the colonial rule in 1855, and has grown to produce more than 20 different rules of whiskies, rums, vodkas, brandies, gins, and beers. Mr. Mohan has been with the company for over 20 years, and played a key role in expanding Mohan Meakin’s product lines. He is an avid tennis player, who also competes at several national tennis tournaments. He is on the board of several local non-profits and schools in his family’s estate, Mohan Nagar.
